... shared racehorse ownership at its best ...

Delusionofgrandeur makes it 4 from 4 at Catterick

This, in the end, was another excellent performance from our 7yo gelding, as he proved there were no ill effects from his efforts in the marathon Durham National at Sedgefield recently.

It wasn`t all plain sailing though, because for the first mile DoG just could not get his jumping together, and made at least three howlers, and a couple more lesser mistakes, which prompted this observer to turn to members present and say…”its not going to be our day today lads”

Whether or not this flawed jumping was because he was being distracted by being upsides Jovial Joey for the first half of the race I`m not sure, but once DC set out on the final circuit and kicked on to go three lengths clear, he was out on his own, his jumping became faultless, and, from then on, never really looked like being caught, and DoG won easing down to give us our fourth successive win at Catterick, which, by anyones standards is no mean achievement.

DoG  was none the worse for his efforts and he was bucking and kicking in Sues paddock the following morning.

I honestly believe there`s a decent race(s) to be had with this fella, and with that in mind, I plan to sit down with Sue, and discuss best options available to us over the next few weeks…especially the Catterick North Riding National on Jan 11th 2018…if we qualify ?
