... shared racehorse ownership at its best ...

Romeo Brown has settled in well

Just a brief update to keep my small, but growing band of followers informed, that Romeo Brown has now been at Phil Kirbys yard at East Appleton in North Yorkshire for almost two weeks and has settled in nicely to his new surroundings.

I recently went up to meet Phil and see our latest acquisition for the first time, and I was not disappointed.

Phil had earlier told me over the phone that Romeo was very fit when he arrived from Jane Williams yard in Devon, and judging from what I saw when watching him gallop, “very fit” was an understatement.

From this admittedly untrained eye, Romeo seemed to glide up the gallops effortlessly, and hardly broke sweat.

We need to find a race for him said Phil, and entries have been made for Romeo in Novice Hurdles at Sedgefield on Mon 21st Jan, Kelso on Tues 22nd Jan and Wetherby on Thurs 24th Jan.

Right now as I publish this post, it would appear the weather may be instrumental in deciding which will be the best option.

I just hope Racing is not affected too much.

So with syndication fully complete,  including two new members joining existing members of McGoldrick Racing, everyone`s hopes are high in anticipation of good / great days ahead.

So its now over to Phil, Pippa and the team at the magnificent Green Oaks Farm base, to carry on where previous trainer Jane Williams left off, and carry on from the excellent job Jane has done with Romeo thus far.
