It was good to see Starboard Watch beginning to get the hang of what she needs to be doing, and an excellent second to a 79 rated southern raider, was hopefully a taster of whats to come.
And so its back to Redcar, Saturday 26th August 6-55 pm race this time in a 46 – 65 7f hcp which despite nearly seventy entries, our filly is up there near the top of the ratings off 64, and is easily qualified to run.
Jockey James Sullivan, who rode her last time out thinks she “will keep improving, as she is so big, and would love to ride her again”.
Ruth Carr however has first claim on James, and had other ideas….namely her horse Faintly, running in the same race, on which James will be on board.
Don`t know much about our jockey Joe Doyle, but I`m sure he is more than capable.
James thinks that even off 64, Starboard Watch may still ahead of the handicapper, so lets hope he`s right.
My £10 ew will no doubt have Betfair quaking in their boots again after their 150-1 on offer before her last run, so its doubtful they will be as generous this time.
